Army Statement: Islamic revolution source of inspiration for freedom-seeking nations

“The victory of the Islamic Revolution in Iran changed the equations of the big powers and disrupted the structure formed on the basis of a bipolar order, challenging the atheistic ideas of liberal democracy and communism by presenting religious democracy.

Hawzah News Agency - The Iranian Army in a statement on Saturday said that Iran's 1978 Islamic Revolution has turned into a source of inspiration for the justice-seeking and freedom-seeking nations of the world.

“The victory of the Islamic Revolution in Iran changed the equations of the big powers and disrupted the structure formed on the basis of a bipolar order, challenging the atheistic ideas of liberal democracy and communism by presenting religious democracy. Undoubtedly, the victory of the Islamic Revolution of Iran shattered the equations of foreign powers in the sensitive region of West Asia and cut off the illegitimate hand of the West from Iran,” said the statement released on the occasion of the 10-Day Dawn festivities marking the 42nd anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution in Iran.

Today and after 42 years of its blessed and honorable life, the Islamic Revolution of Iran has been able to strengthen its influential and decisive position in regional and trans-regional developments more than ever, and has been a source of inspiration for the justice-seeking and freedom-seeking moves by the oppressed nations in the world, it added.

The statement said that the Iranian Army which has played an undisputed role in the victory, consolidation and strengthening of the foundations of the Islamic establishment, has gone through a promising path of flourishing over the past four decades despite all sanctions and threats.

The Iranian Army also assured the nation that it will remain as a stable backing for the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, who is also the Commander-in-Chief of the Iranian Armed Forces, and the Islamic Republic of Iran.

On February 11, 1979, Iranian people earned final victory under the leadership of Imam Khomeini by toppling the US-backed Pahlavi regime.

People commemorate this victory from Feb 1 to 11, known as ‘Ten-Day Dawn’, across the country every year and also hold massive rallies on February 11 to celebrate Iran’s independence from foreign powers.
