Hawzah News Agency (Mashhad - Iran) - Custodians of the country’s holy shrines have issued a joint statement expressing their readiness for holding Qadr Nights’ ceremonies.

The text of the statement is as follows:

In the name of God, the compassionate, the merciful

The honorable, faithful and religious people of Iran,

With regard to the recent comment of the Leader Ayatollah Khamenei saying “The issue of worshiping and praying in Ramadan and specially during Qadr Nights are among the most fundamental needs of people” and his emphasis on the necessity of having appropriate programming to provide people with spiritual opportunity of Qadr Nights with full observance of health guidelines, we find it necessary to notify countrymen that:

To act upon wise recommendations of Ayatollah Khamenei, country’s holy shrines are ready to hold spiritual ceremonies of Qadr Nights for the people of Iran in accordance with all health protocols and guidelines.

As Iranian faithful people do know, all the country’s holy shrines found it their religious and legal duty to follow and implement decisions made by the National Anti-Corona Headquarters since the beginning of virus outbreak and critical situation of the country and accepted to close shrines’ doors. Moreover, to have more cooperation with the headquarters, the custodianships of the holy shrines and sacred mausoleums, using their experiences in the area of pilgrimage and management of holy shrines, started to compile rules of procedure for gradual opening of the holy sites according to health and hygienic guidelines and offered the document to the headquarters.

At the current time and with reemphasis on continuance of interaction and full cooperation, we expect the authorities in charge to take into account concerns of the faithful and religious families and to hear holy shrines’ experiences and expert opinions in developing any possible necessary guideline.

It’s clear that any reopening of sacred premises totally depends on decisions made by the National Anti-Corona Headquarters. As in the past, we consider ourselves obliged to implement and fully comply with the resolutions of the headquarters.

May God give us success
