Hawzah News Agency (Qom, Iran) – In a meeting with head of the Islamic Center of Shanghai Imam Mousa, Hujjat al-Islam Sayyed Mofid Husseini Kouhsari, director of Iranian Seminaries' Office for International Relations asserted, "Out of the 250 thousand students currently studying Islamic sciences in Iran's seminaries, more than 120 thousand are men, 80 thousand are women, 30 thousand are foreign students and 30 thousand are Sunni Muslims."
Elaborating on the unique features of Iranian seminaries, Hujjat al-Islam Kouhsari added, "One of the major features that distinguish Iran's seminaries from other religious institutes worldwide is their attitude in promoting unity and proximity among religions and Islamic sects."
Head of Hawzah News Agency further reiterated, "Islamic seminaries' office for international relations is fully ready to cooperate with religious centers around the world; We are seeking to develop Islamic seminaries and are willing to expand our interactions with the Islamic Center of China."
