Hawzah News Agency (Qom, Iran) – A group of British Muslim scholars met with head of the office Hujjat al-Islam Sayyed Mofid Hosseini Kouhsari in Qom on Thursday and discussed ongoing issues in the Islamic world.
The Iranian cleric welcomed the British delegation to Iran and remarked, “Iran does not only belong to Iranians, this is your home too and it belongs to you as well.”
Head of the Iranian Seminary’s Office for International Relations further elaborated on some Quranic verses asserting, “Our top duty, according to Islam, is to stand united and do not scatter.”
Criticizing some Islamic centers for ignoring philosophical logic, Hujjat al-Islam Kouhsari reiterated, “Islamic academic centers must pay special attention to sciences such as philosophy and logic.”
Expressing his willingness to expand cooperation with British scholars, the Iranian cleric said, “Engaging in more dialogues will enable us to solve critical issues in the Islamic world; every scientific book, regardless of the fact that it’s written by a Shia or Sunni Muslim, must be reviewed and studied.”
