Hawzah News Agency (Qom, Iran) – In a meeting with a group of Iranian seminary students who recently finished an advanced Arabic course in Beirut, Lebanon, Head of Islamic Seminary's office for International Relations Hujjat al-Islam Sayyed Mofid Husseini Kouhsari asserted, "International activities are considered as a top priority in Islamic seminaries; activities such as teaching Islamic courses and attending interfaith dialogue cannot be achieved without the presence of seminaries."
The Shia cleric further pointed out that the recent Arabic course which was held in Beirut, was a success; "Our main purpose of organizing this intense course was to establish ties between seminary students who attended this course and the international figures."
Young clerics must engage in international affairs
The organizer of the course Hujjat al-Islam Ziyayi also made some remarks during the meeting, "There's a growing need for Islamic seminary's presence in international arena, that's why we need young talents who are able to engage in international affairs more than ever before." he said.
He went on, "Among our future plans is to organize an Advanced English course for Iranian seminary students in an African country."
Head of the seminary group who attended the Arabic course in Lebanon, Hujjat al-Islam Mousavi Azad presented a report on the activities of the group during their trip to Lebanon. He also emphasized the need for planning effective strategies for seminary students for the years to come.
