Lebanon’s Shaykh Qassem: Islamic Unity key to defeat enemies

Deputy Secretary-General of Hezbollah said that Iran is considered as a true supporter of Islamic Unity and that’s why the enemies are fighting against Iran.

Hawzah News agency (Tehran, Iran) – Speaking at the international conference on Islamic Unity in Tehran on Thursday, December 15, Shaykh Naim Qassem, Deputy Secretary-General of Lebanese Hezbollah stated, “The Islamic world is presently confronted with the enemies’ plots and in order to show our strength as one united Islamic Ummah we must voice our solidarity and unity,”

He added, “Takfiri movements were initially created to replace the imperialist powers in their manifest fight against Islam; Islam’s adversaries began such movements as a result of their consecutive failures in the battlefields fighting against Hezbollah and Palestinian resistance,”

“The only countries that are fighting takfiri terrorists are the ones that form the axis of Islamic Resistance including Iran, Syria, Lebanon and Iraq; Hezbollah soldiers sent out a clear message to the world that Takfiris cannot defeat us,”

Shaykh Naim Qassem went on, “The results of Islamic unity among Iran and the other members of the Islamic Resistance could be easily seen in victories in Syria as well as other regions; Iran is a true supporter of Islamic unity and that’s why the enemies of Islam are fighting against Iran. When we look at the fruits of Iran’s efforts in uniting the Islamic Ummah we realize that Iranian supreme leaders, Ayatollah Khamenei, as well as the founder of the Islamic Revolution, late Ayatollah Khomeini, both highlighted the unity of Islamic Ummah and no other leader in the Islamic world has achieved what they have accomplished,”

“Countries that do not voice their support for Palestinian Resistance cannot call themselves the axis of Islamic Unity; We all must support Palestine and the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon,” Shaykh Qassem concluded.
