Lahore Friday Imam: Iran's Retaliation Against Any Aggression Will Be Unlike Anything Before — A Decisive, Unconventional Response Awaits

Hojatoleslam Seyyed Javad Naqvi, referring to Washington's dual approach toward Iran, said Tehran's confrontation with the US is not limited to any particular administration or president but is rooted in its opposition to America's hegemonic system — and that Iran will deliver a different and decisive response to any military attack.

Hawzah News Agency- Delivering the Friday prayer sermon in the Pakistani city of Lahore, Hojatoleslam Seyyed Javad Naqvi, head of the Tehreek-e-Bidari Ummat-e-Mustafa Pakistan, said the Islamic Republic's confrontation with the US is not confined to any specific government or president but is rooted in its opposition to Washington's hegemonic system, and that Iran will give a different and decisive response to any military aggression.

Iran-US Confrontation Transcends Administrations; Tehran's Response to Any Attack Will Be Different

Referring to Donald Trump's approach toward Iran, Naqvi said the US president seeks either to reach a deal with Iran or to carry out a decisive military action and present it to the American people as a major achievement.

Describing US policy as based on a dual approach, the Pakistani cleric said Washington offers negotiations and a deal on the one hand while trying to pressure the other side through threats of war and destruction on the other.

Referring to US relations with Arab countries, he said Trump is currently looking to Arab allies to preserve his position, and these countries, in turn, are pinning their hopes on US support to guarantee their own survival.

The Lahore Friday prayer leader stressed that from Iran's perspective, Trump's victory or defeat alone does not change the nature of the confrontation, because Iran's issue is not merely confronting an American president but opposing the hegemonic and arrogant structure of the United States. Iran's position is clear, he said: any agreement must be based on Iran's conditions, and any military action against the country will receive a proportionate response. Naqvi also claimed that Iran's reaction in the event of war would differ from the past and that the US would face an unconventional response.

In another part of his remarks, Hojatoleslam Seyyed Javad Naqvi described Turkey as one of the actors expanding its influence in the region, saying Ankara has planned to fill the possible vacuum left by a US withdrawal from the Middle East and play an alternative role.

Referring to differences among some regional countries over the role and position of Mohammed bin Salman, he added that Turkey and Egypt apparently do not seek a powerful Saudi Arabia under bin Salman's leadership, preferring instead that he be in a weaker and more dependent position.

The head of Tehreek-e-Bidari Ummat-e-Mustafa Pakistan concluded by addressing Pakistan-Saudi defense relations and cooperation, stressing that maintaining friendly ties and defense cooperation with Saudi Arabia should not mean Pakistan entering the wars and conflicts of other countries.

He noted that if Pakistan cannot benefit from regional crises, it should at least not allow these developments to impose damage and costs on the country. Therefore, he said, Pakistan's leaders must prioritize national security, political independence and the country's economic interests in their decisions.
