The Holy Alawi Shrine Strives to Revive Islamic Heritage

The Assembly for Islamic Research and Studies at the Holy Alawi Shrine, affiliated with the Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs, has expanded its activities in the critical editing and verification of heritage texts and manuscripts. This work follows directives that call for attention to writings on the virtues, merits, and life of Commander of the Faithful Imam Ali (peace be upon him) and to the noble book Nahj al-Balagha.

Hawzah News Agency- Sheikh Salam al-Nasiri, head of the Assembly, told the Shrine’s news center: “One of the Assembly’s most important duties is the critical editing and verification of manuscripts related to the life and merits of the Master of the Pious (peace be upon him), as well as Nahj al-Balagha. Accordingly, work has begun on the editing and verification of a number of specialized manuscripts in this field''.

Sheikh Salam al-Nasiri, head of the Assembly, told the Shrine’s news center: “One of the Assembly’s most important duties is the critical editing and verification of manuscripts related to the life and merits of the Master of the Pious (peace be upon him), as well as Nahj al-Balagha. Accordingly, work has begun on the editing and verification of a number of specialized manuscripts in this field.”

Outlining the stages of the Assembly’s work, he added: “The second stage is the editing and verification of rare and precious works in the Alawi Treasury, and the third stage covers valuable works held in collections around the world.”
