Attachment to the World and Its Consequences

Hadith of the Day is a daily feature highlighting timeless sayings of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) and the Ahlul-Bayt (pbut), offering insights into faith, ethics, and spirituality for contemporary life.

Hawzah News Agency- Shaikh al-Saduq narrated from his father (may Allah be pleased with him) who narrated from Muhammad ibn Yahya al-Attar, from Muhammad ibn Ahmad, from Abu Sa’id al-Adami, from Abd al-Aziz al-Abdi, from Ibn Abi Ya’fur, who said: I heard Imam Sadiq (pbuh) saying:

Whoever’s heart becomes attached to the world becomes attached to three qualities from it: worry that does not end, wish that is not reached, and hope that is not attained.
