Hawzah News Agency- Speaking at a ceremony honoring the relief team upon their return from Sheikh Abdul Mahdi al-Karbalaei, the Sharia Custodian of the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine, emphasized that true belief is demonstrated through action and solidarity rather than mere words or ritual worship.
"Faith is action and altruism. It is insufficient for one to claim faith with the tongue or confine it to acts of worship; rather, faith is crystallized in the readiness for sacrifice and the assumption of responsibility in times of tribulation," Sheikh Karbalaei stated.
The cleric underscored that the initial relief convoy, launched with the backing of the holy shrine, served as both a practical model of humanitarian fraternity and a real-world trial of resolve, given the prevailing security risks and the persistent threat of bombardment.
"What has been provided in terms of humanitarian aid is a religious and moral duty, particularly in light of the tragedies befalling innocent civilians who are being targeted," the representative of Grand Ayatollah Sistani explained.
Sheikh Karbalaei further commended the logistical and administrative efficiency of the shrine's institutions, noting that the rapid organization and deployment of the convoy reflected a high standard of operational readiness.
He added that this pioneering initiative has acted as a catalyst for broader humanitarian efforts, encouraging various institutions to join the relief campaign. "The synergy between those offering sacrifice on the frontlines and those providing support from the rear is of paramount importance," he noted.
The cleric concluded by affirming that the practical manifestation of faith-based values in challenging arenas is essential. He stressed that the principles outlined in the guidance of the Supreme Religious Authority in Najaf are not abstract rhetoric, but are tested in difficult circumstances and pivotal moments.
Sheikh Karbalaei expressed his profound gratitude to all participants and supporters of the convoy, reiterating the shrine's commitment to continuing such blessed endeavors in service of faith and humanity.
