Two Things That Destroy Mankind

Hawzah News Agency- Muhammad ibn Ahmad Abu Abd Allah al-Quda’i (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated from Abu Abd Allah Ishaq ibn al-Abbas ibn Ishaq ibn Musa ibn Ja’far, from his father, from his forefathers, from Imam Husayn (pbuh) that Imam Ali (pbuh) said:

أَهْلَکَ النَّاسَ اثْنَانِ خَوْفُ الْفَقْرِ وَ طَلَبُ الْفَخْرِ.

Two things have destroyed people: the fear of poverty and the pursuit of pride.
