Hawzah News Agency- Speaking at a public gathering, Hojatoleslam Hayat Abbas Najafi, a senior member of the Pakistan Muslim Unity Council in Sindh, described the Zionist regime’s continued aggression against the Gaza Strip as part of a deliberate and coordinated campaign aimed at eliminating Palestinian resistance movements, particularly Hamas, with direct backing from Washington.
Najafi said the scale and intensity of the attacks on Gaza demonstrate that the United States and its allies are not only complicit in what he described as genocide against the Palestinian people, but are also seeking to silence all voices of resistance and freedom across the region.
“The so-called Abraham Accords are a dangerous conspiracy designed to impose recognition of the occupying Zionist regime and to erase the Palestinian issue from the political and moral consciousness of the Islamic world,” he said.
The Pakistani cleric voiced serious concern over reports of external pressure being exerted on Pakistan to join the agreement, stressing that such pressure runs counter to Pakistan’s historical, ideological, and religious identity.
“Any support for this project would amount to a clear betrayal of the Palestinian cause and a violation of the deep-rooted sentiments of the Pakistani nation,” Najafi stated.
He emphasized that Pakistan was founded on Islamic principles and on support for oppressed nations, adding that any compromise on Palestine would constitute disrespect to the blood of Palestinian martyrs and a deviation from the principled positions of Pakistan’s founders.
Hojatoleslam Najafi categorically rejected the possibility of Pakistan joining what he described as colonial and imposed schemes, saying the Pakistani nation would never accept participation in such projects under pressure from the US or the Zionist regime.
Calling on the Pakistani government to reassess its foreign policy approach, he urged officials to move away from what he termed US-dependent and imposed policies and to offer transparent and practical support for the Palestinian people and their legitimate resistance.
“The real objective of the United States is to disarm Hamas and other resistance groups. Aligning with such an agenda will never be acceptable to the Pakistani nation,” he said.
In closing, Najafi warned that the Pakistani people would not remain silent in the face of policies that contradict national interests, Islamic ideals, and public will, stressing that the nation firmly rejects injustice, authoritarianism, and any attempt to undermine the rights of oppressed peoples.
