Hawzah News Agency- Muhammad ibn al-Hassan ibn Ahmad ibn al-Walid narrated that Muhammad ibn Yahya al-Attar narrated from Abu Sa’id Sahl ibn Zyad al-Adamy, from Al-Hassan ibn al-Hussein al-Lu’lu’ee, from Ali ibn Hafs al-Abasi, from Al-Salt ibn al-Ala’, from Abil-Hozoor, from Imam Baqir (pbuh) that the Holy Prophet (pbuh) said:
خُلِقَ النّاسُ مِن شَجَرٍ شَتّى، وَخُلِقتُ أَنا وَابنُ أَبي طالِبٍ مِن شَجَرَةٍ واحِدَةٍ، أَصْلي عَلِيٌّ وَفَرْعي جَعْفَر.
People were created from various (different) trees, but I and the son of Abu Talib (Imam Ali) were created from a single tree;
my root is Ali, and my branch is Ja'far.
