Hawzah News Agency- Speaking in an interview, Ayatollah Dorri Najafabadi said Washington’s actions show that it not only backs crimes against humanity around the world, but also seeks to endanger the livelihoods and health of nations by blocking Iran’s financial resources and supporting the Zionist regime.
Referring to Iran’s neutrality during World Wars I and II, he said that despite Tehran’s neutral stance, global powers treated the Iranian people unjustly. “During the reign of Ahmad Shah, Iran declared neutrality, yet the people were deprived even of basic food such as wheat in World War I. The major powers inherently behave in a hostile manner toward nations,” he said.
The senior cleric also denounced the US for its use of nuclear weapons against Japan in World War II, saying, “The United States massacred some 300,000 people in its nuclear attack even after Japan had surrendered, and it continues to defend such crimes.”
He noted that during the recent 12-day war in the region, while Washington claimed to pursue diplomacy, it and its allies, including Britain, were complicit in widespread atrocities.
Ayatollah Dorri Najafabadi further condemned America’s hegemonic behavior, saying, “The United States considers itself a superpower and seeks to dominate other nations. Its beating heart in the region is the Zionist regime, which has received over $21 billion in US financial aid in recent weeks.”
