Indian Scholar: Martyrdom of Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah Revitalized the Resistance Front

Hojatoleslam Sayyed Kalb Jawad Naqvi, Secretary General of the Indian Ulema Council, said the martyrdom of Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah has breathed new life into the Resistance Front and strengthened the determination of Lebanon’s people and other free nations confronting oppression and aggression.

Hawzah News Agency- Speaking at the Asefi Mosque in Lucknow, Hojatoleslam Naqvi emphasized that defending the oppressed is both a religious and moral duty, regardless of faith or sect, adding that “there is no crime greater than oppression in Islam.”

He denounced certain Urdu media outlets for claiming that “the world has remained silent” over Gaza, calling such narratives deceptive attempts to conceal the betrayal of some Arab rulers. He said global protests — including those by European university students — show that the world’s conscience has not been silent, only some Arab governments have.

The senior cleric condemned Arab regimes for aligning with the United States and the Zionist regime, saying that even praying for Palestine’s rights is criminalized in some of those states. He also criticized Muslim governments for failing to impose economic sanctions on Israel, and instead, in some cases, even aiding it during the war — describing them as complicit in the crimes against Palestinians.

Hojatoleslam Naqvi hailed Iran, Lebanon, and Yemen for their sacrifices in support of the oppressed people of Gaza, stressing that Iran’s steadfastness in backing the Palestinian cause stems from its faith and commitment to the Qur’an and the teachings of the Prophet (PBUH).

Concluding his remarks, he highlighted the enduring power of martyrdom, saying, “A martyr never dies. The blood of Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah continues to inspire resistance and has already humiliated the oppressors and colonial powers on multiple fronts.”
