Ayatollah Alireza Arafi, head of the Qom Seminary, noted that the modern seminary was revived under the leadership of Grand Ayatollah Abdolkarim Haeri Yazdi, with the support of prominent scholars such as Sheikh Mehdi Falsafi, Mirza Mohammad Arbab, Sheikh Abolqasem Qomi, Sheikh Mohammad-Taqi Bafqi, Maleki Tabrizi, and Ayatollah Mohammad-Reza Shari’atmadar Savoji, and many other prominent figures — each of whom shone as a star in the spiritual and intellectual sky of Qom.
