Hawzah News Agency- Delivering his sermon at the Quds Mosalla during Friday prayers, Ayatollah Bushehri stated:
“It is a grave mistake to think the enemy entered war midway through negotiations. The talks were part of a pre-planned scenario — designed to occupy Iran diplomatically, while giving a green light to the Zionist regime to attack from behind the scenes.”
Referring to the spiritual significance of Muharram, he drew parallels between the values embodied in the Ashura uprising and the current geopolitical situation, emphasizing the enduring relevance of sacrifice and steadfastness in defense of Islamic principles.
Quoting Imam Ali (PBUH), he said:
“Jihad is a gate among the gates of Paradise, opened only for God’s closest friends.”
Ayatollah Bushehri underscored the philosophy of Imam Hussain’s (PBUH) uprising in Karbala, explaining that its goal was to restore Islamic values that had been distorted or lost.
“Ashura teaches us that numbers do not determine the outcome — it is the firmness of will that sustains a nation,” he said. “Even if NATO, the United States, and the Zionist regime align against the righteous, they will fail.”
He emphasized the lesson of sacrifice as central to the Islamic struggle, adding:
“When one sees that their life and property must be sacrificed for the survival of Islam, they must not hesitate — just as Imam Hussain (PBUH) gave everything to preserve the truth.”
Ayatollah Bushehri concluded that this ethos, rooted in the teachings of Karbala, continues to guide the resistance and will empower Muslim nations to confront and overcome aggression and deception.
