The member of the Supreme Council of Seminaries further noted that the history of Qom Seminary is divided into before and after the Islamic Revolution and has stages and periods, adding,” Qom Seminary actually produced and followed the theory and doctrine of the Islamic movement, revolution, and system based on profound Shiite jurisprudence, so that it could be realized and from within this movement, revolution, and system, an international movement would form, part of which is resistance; the extension of the Islamic Revolution in the world goes beyond this.”

Elsewhere in his remarks Ayatollah Arafi stated,” Prior to the revolution, the seminary institutions were active in Iran, Iraq, India, Pakistan, and some Persian Gulf countries, and at most, there were ten countries where there were religious and seminary scientific centers, but thanks to the blessing of the Islamic Revolution, centers of Islamic sciences of the Ahl al-Bayt (PBUT) have now been established and spread in over 100 countries worldwide.”
