More than 6,000 scholars active in Qom Seminary

The Head of Iran’s seminaries said,” The idea of establishing the Islamic World Science & Technology Monitoring and Citation Institute (ISC) is a strategic, important and fundamental step for Iran and the Islamic world.”

Hawzah News Agency- Ayatollah Alireza Arafi, the head of Iran’s Seminary, made some remarks in a meeting with the officials of the Institute for Citation and Monitoring of Science and Technology of the Islamic World (ISC), stating that he has been aware of its programs since the beginning of the formation of the group, and stated,” With the information I have of the group and the report that was presented, you have provided a valuable service not only to The Islamic Republic of Iran but also to the Islamic world, which is worthy of gratitude.”

The member of the Supreme Council of Seminaries added,” This initiative is a strategic, important and fundamental step for promoting science in the Islamic world.”

Referring to some of the scientific capacities of the seminaries and affiliated centers in Qom and other parts of Iran, Ayatollah Arafi stated,” In the seminary system, there are more than 100 publications in various scientific categories, 30 scientific associations, more than 6,000 researchers and scholars, in addition to professors, hundreds of large and small research groups, as well as dozens of active groups in the field of technology, the most prominent of which is the Noor Computer Research Center in Qom, engaged in scientific and knowledge activities.”

At the end, the Head of Iran’s Islamic Seminary emphasized the greater cooperation between the Islamic World Science and Technology Citation and Monitoring Institute and the Research Office of the Seminaries.
