Hawzah News Agency- Israfil Kaliji, the Secretary of the Committee of the International Resistance Film Festival, stated on Tuesday, December 31 at a press conference for the 18th International Resistance Film Festival, held at the Ahl al-Bayt (PBUT) World Assembly in Qom, "The primary focus of this festival is Palestine, as its people have experienced and lived the concept of resistance for nearly 80 years."

He added, "Before October 7, many people around the world perceived Palestine as a political issue and a conflict between Judaism and Islam. However, the events that followed, the history was divided into a world before October 7 and after."

He also said, "We are at war with the biased main stream media which has changed the position of an oppressor and the oppressed."

Kaliji emphasized, "Today, Palestine has transformed the concept of resistance, and we must all work together to revive and establish the concept of intelligent resistance."

He said, "If we don't resist and stand against the oppression today, tomorrow we will be the victims of oppression."

He added, "In the International Committee of the International Resistance Film Festival, we plan to create a platform for various countries and expand this network; currently, 11 countries have expressed their readiness to collaborate in the festival."

Finally, Kaliji noted, "The film industry and the arts can play a vital role in transforming the concept of resistance from war to peace."
