Astan Quds Razavi Capacities to Be Used for Optimally Holding Iran Int’l Quran Contest

The Astan Quds Razavi, custodianship of Imam Reza (AS) shrine in Mashhad, will fully support Iran’s 41st International Holy Quran Competition, an official stated.

Hamid Majidimehr, the head of the Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization’s Quranic Affairs Center, made the remark during a joint meeting of the officials of the Astan and the organization.

The final stage of the competition, which will be held in person, will be launched on January 27, 2025, in the holy city of Mashhad.

Majidimehr said that in this edition, the Astan Quds Razavi will be the main body cooperating with the Awqaf Organization in holding the competition.

He noted that accordingly, all Quranic, cultural, security, inspection, infrastructure, and advertising sectors, as well as anything related to the shrine complex, will proceed in coordination with Astan Quds. Furthermore, any needs arising from outside the shrine premises will be addressed by the Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization, he stated.

He added that during this edition, the media coverage will take place in a special manner, with the specific collaboration of the media group of the Astan Quds and the media team of the Quran Competitions Headquarters of the Awqaf Organization.

It is expected that positive developments will occur in the 41st edition, Majidimehr said. The International Holy Quran Competition of the Islamic Republic of Iran is annually organized by the country’s Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization.
