Hawzah News Agency- Senior Shia scholar Grand Ayatollah Hussein Nouri Hamadani made some remarks regarding the upcoming presidential elections in Iran, in response to the question of some seminary scholars regarding the election he said,” I am not naming any particular person; But I recommend that you choose a person who is religious, qualified, committed, revolutionary and follows the thoughts and line of Late Imam Khomeini (RA) and the supreme leader of the Islamic revolution. The ability to communicate with the world, defend the oppressed, and above all, service and love to the people should be at the top of the agenda.

The text of Grand Ayatollah Nouri Hamedani’s response is as follows:

Undoubtedly, the present time has special conditions since respected scholars should have chronology at the top of their work, I thank you for this sense of responsibility, my dear students, and convey to you that I do not identify any particular person and name, but I recommend that you choose a person who is religious, qualified, committed, revolutionary and follows the thoughts and line of Imam Khomeini and the leader of the Islamic Revolution. The ability to communicate with the world, defend the oppressed, and above all, service and love to the people should be at the top of the agenda, and each of the respected candidates and their supporters should be careful to put ethics as the main priority in their work. Any form of insult, slander, defamation, and creating discord and disappointment is not allowed, and God willing, you, with these characteristics, invite all honorable people to participate in this election and disappoint the enemies once again.
