Hawzah News Agency- Hujjat al-Islam Hamid Shahriari, Secretary General of the World Forum for the Approximation of Islamic Religions, during his trip to Syria, met and talked with the head of the Islamic Awqaf Administration of Aleppo.

In this meeting, Hujjat al-Islam Shahriari emphasized on maintaining the deep relationship between the two nations of Iran and Syria and noted,” The Islamic Republic of Iran and Syria demonstrated the unity between the Islamic religions in a practical way in the fight against the Takfiris.

He continued,” ISIS is born of arrogance, and the two countries of Iran and Syria stood and resisted in a united front against this takfiri group, which is actually the innermost arrogance. Takfiris and terrorists are inspired by the teachings of Wahhabism and engage in war, violence, killing and extremism. While none of their actions are based on the prophetic tradition.”

Expressing his regret that the hands of some of the influential scholars of the Islamic world are in the hands of global arrogance, the Secretary General of the World Forum for Approximation of Islamic Religions said,” These scholars are both among the Sunnis and the Shiites.”

The Secretary General of the World Forum for Approximation of Islamic Religions further stated that the Islamic world should be in a united front and reminded that the enemies are only looking for their own interests and do not want stability in the Islamic world.
