Hawzah News Agency- the chancellor of Al-Mustafa International University Hujjat al-Islam Abbasi, met with Iraj Elahi, the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to India; during the meeting which was held in Qom, the Shia cleric pointed out the historical records of cultural relations between Iran and India and said,” Cultural relations between Iran and India date back to centuries ago, And this cultural relationship is so strong that even in Persian literature, there is a style called Indian style of poetry.”

He added,” prominent characters, poets and writers were present in the Indian subcontinent, which are part of the valuable cultural treasure shared by the two countries, and this linguistic and cultural connection is one of the valuable opportunities for both countries to develop bilateral ties.”

Hujjat al-Islam Abbasi went on to introduce al-Mustafa International University and noted,” Currently, there are tens of thousands of students from more than 130 nationalities in the domestic and foreign branches of al-Mustafa University in nearly 170 disciplines and orientations in the fields of Islamic sciences, humanities, language and cultural studies. The students are offered courses from bachelor's degree to doctorate.”

Hujjat al-Islam Abbasi further referred to some scientific and international activities and achievements of Al-Mustafa University and added,” Al-Mustafa International University is the strategic and popular support of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the world, and the students of Al-Mustafa have an effective presence all over the world in various social fields. They work scientifically and economically to promote Islam.”

The Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to India Mr. Iraj Elahi also expressed his satisfaction with the meeting with the chancellor of Al-Mustafa University and noted,” Al-Mustafa International University has played a very significant role in conveying the message of the Islamic Revolution in the world, and fortunately, Al-Mustafa has also carried out very good scientific and academic activities in India.”

While expressing his hope for the development of scientific and academic activities of Al-Mustafa International University in India, Mr. Iraj Elahi added, “Persian language has a long history in the Subcontinent. Today, it is necessary to pay special attention to the promotion of the Persian language, and al-Mustafa University can play a more effective role in this regard compared to the past.”
