Hawzah News Agency- Senior Shia scholar Grand Ayatollah Hussein Vahid Khorasani received a group of Iranian Hajj Officials in Qom on Saturday, June 18 in a meeting during which he addressed the Iranian officials and said, ‘This trip is not an ordinary one since this journey is to visit the Kaaba of Allah almighty, and the pilgrims of this journey are considered as the guests of God.’

Referring to the sermon of Imam Ali (PBUH) Commander of the Faithful in Nahj al-Balagha, Grand Ayatollah Khorasani added,’ you have been invited to this journey so it’s best to ask the Hajj pilgrims to make an effort and present the merit of their pilgrimage to one of the Imams; since this is considered the most rewarding act.’

Grand Ayatollah went on to point out the exile of Shia Imams at al-Baqi and the need to introduce those noble characters to the pilgrims of Medina noting, ‘ Go to the shrine of al-Baqi barefoot, where the throne of Allah is. The divine angels cover those steps with their wings.’

In the end, Grand Ayatollah Khorasani advised all pilgrims to pray for the health and arrival of Imam Mahdi (PBUH) and to relieve the suffering of all people and said,’ Ask the pilgrims on this journey, whether in Medina or in the house of God Kaaba or in the desert of Arafat to pray for the health of Imam Mahdi (PBUH). God willing, you and the other pilgrims will return in good health with the answered prayers and a Hajj well-accepted by Allah almighty.’

It should be noted that prior to this meeting with Iranian Hajj Officials, a report on the activities carried out by Hajj officials was presented to Grand Ayatollah Khorasani.
