Hawzah News Agency (Qom, Iran) – The text of the statement which is signed by Ayatollah Mohammad Yazdi, Chairman of the Seminary Teachers’ Society, is as follows:

In the Name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful

"And you will find the nearest of them in affection to the believers those who say, ‘We are Christians.’ That is because among them are priests and monks and because they are not arrogant. )"5:82(

We’ve been informed of the demise of Hilarion Capucci, the revolutionary bishop of Al-Quds who was also a supporter of late Imam Khomeini and the cause of Islamic Revolution; Bishop Capucci endured years of imprisonment, torture and he was even expelled by the Zionist regime. This freedom-seeking spiritual leader was a true supporter of Islamic Resistance and stood up for the Palestinian rights. He dedicated his life to this sacred path.

The Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom would like to express their sincere condolences for the demise of Bishop Capucci, this great figure of Islamic Resistance, to all freed men and women in the world.
