Hawzah News Agency- A group of Russian university professors along with the members of the Russian Peace Foundation met with Ayatollah Araki, Chairman of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, in Qom on Sunday, November 27.

Stressing the significance of ongoing efforts to establish global peace, Dr Viacheslav Valeryef, a member of the Russian Peace Foundation, expressed his gratitude for having the opportunity to participate in the meeting and said, “I suggest holding a joint conference organized by both Iran and Russia to study the issue of global peace and the impact of religion on the unity of people and races,”

He further added,” The scientists in Saint Petersburg are enthusiastic to establish a university under the name of ‘Peace” in cooperation with their Iranian counterparts in order to help create lasting global peace,”

Another member of the Russian delegation urged both countries to develop business interactions between Iran and Russia, “One way to create approximation between religions is to develop trade and financial transactions among people; As a matter of fact, business transactions between different nations based on the religious values could help strengthen the religious approximation between them,”

At the end of the meeting, Ayatollah Araki offered to draft a book to collect the common divine instructions in different religions and to establish an international organization in order to introduce those common teachings to the world, they also appointed some representatives to carry out the necessary procedures.
