Hawzah News Agency- A group of professors from Russia’s Saint Petersburg University paid a visit to the Institute of Human Sciences at al-Mustafa University in Qom on Sunday, November 27 and met with the heads of science- education departments as well as the faculty members of the institute.
At the beginning of the meeting, Dr Haji Dehabadi, head of the institute, welcomed the honored guests to al-Mustafa University and then he briefly presented a report on the current activities of their institute as well as their achievements in terms of research projects in the field of humanities.
Dr Osman Ouf Murad, head of the Tajik community of Saint Petersburg, later spoke on the history and geography of the Ismailis sect in the country of Afghanistan.
Dr Viacheslav Valeryef, head of the Social security department at the University of Saint Petersburg, also presented an extensive report on different sections of their department of social security and explained their activities.
He then elaborated on the broad range of the ongoing activities in their respected department in teaching security skills and techniques to different sections of the Russian society and asserted, “Protecting the dignity of religions and to face the threats imposed on them is among the most crucial educational objectives of the social security department at Saint Petersburg University.
In the end of the meeting, Dr Haji Dehabadi thanked both sides for their scientific cooperation and discussions during the visit and added, “I really hope such meetings would open up new opportunities for further intellectual exchange between Russian and Iranian scholars.
