Hawzah News Agency- The event commenced with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran and the playing of the national anthems of Iraq and the Islamic Republic of Iran. This was followed by a tribute to the martyred Leader, during which the host and attendees recited Surah al-Fatihah for his soul and that of his martyred family members.
Subsequently, Ms. Maryam Abayaji, a representative of the conference's organizing committee, elaborated on the objectives and significance of the event.
Stressing that discussing the martyred Leader's conduct and faith-based life is no transient matter, she stated: "The purpose of reflecting on his conduct is, in truth, to draw inspiration from an evolved school of thought — a school in which the martyred Leader's asceticism, piety, and unshakable bond with the Divine are clearly manifest."
The representative of the organizing committee added: "We have not gathered here today merely to speak of the martyred Leader's conduct and life; rather, we seek to examine a school of thought in which leaders and martyrs were nurtured — those who imparted to us the highest degrees of steadfastness and sacrifice."
Subsequently, Dr. Zainab Shariatmadar, a teacher at the Islamic seminary and researcher on the thought of the martyred Leader, highlighted the historic presence of the Iraqi people at pivotal junctures in history — particularly during the funeral procession of the martyred Leader — and remarked: "Our martyred Leader was the Leader of the Ummah, who must be remembered as a martyr of jihad against the American-Zionist enemy. The Iraqi people, through their participation in his funeral rites, created a historic and legendary day."
Hujjat al-Islam wal-Muslimin Mohammad Javad Mohammadi Golpayegani, the son-in-law of the martyred Leader, Imam Sayyid Ali Hosseini Khamenei, and the father and husband of martyrs of the American-Zionist aggression, then delivered an address on the various dimensions of the faith-based lifestyle of the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution.
He began by expressing his gratitude to the organizers of the program, particularly the Dar al-Asr Publishing Institute, the leadership of Hashd al-Sha'bi (Popular Mobilization Forces), Iraqi women active in the field of culture, and the Office for the Preservation and Publication of the Works of the martyred Leader.
Mohammad Javad Golpayegani, at the outset of his remarks, identified love as the cornerstone of the martyred Leader's educational approach, adding: "He would saturate his home, his family, his children, and his relatives with love. He was a radiant and luminous sun, from whose kindness and affection all those around him benefited and felt blessed. Anyone who drew near to him would feel this love and become captivated by his abundant compassion."
He further noted: "The primary secret behind the martyred Leader's success in raising children lay in the profound emotions he expressed toward those around him — the effects of which were unmistakably felt within the family."
The son-in-law of the martyred Leader added: "It is particularly noteworthy that the martyred Leader possessed the ability to connect with people of all ages. He would engage in conversation with every member of the family, from the youngest to the oldest, and was always an attentive listener to those around him."
He went on to recall: "The martyred Leader would pay attention to those around him regardless of their age, expressing love to all family members and openly articulating that love. Another trait of the martyred Leader was his expressiveness — he would converse with his family and foster a warm and intimate atmosphere within the household."
Mohammad Javad Mohammadi Golpayegani further noted another aspect of the martyred Leader's interaction with his family: "He would always address people — even children — with respectful terms."
He emphasized the martyred Leader's special reverence for women and added: "The most respected person in his household was his esteemed wife, and he would show her great honor and courtesy. The martyred Leader assigned the most fundamental role in raising children to the mother, and considered the mother to be the most influential figure in every person's life."
The son-in-law of Martyr Khamenei continued: "The martyred Leader himself stated that his mother played the primary role in his upbringing. He would constantly remind that women's social activities — while necessary — should never lead to neglect of children and family."
Referring to the place of the "mother" in the martyred Leader's life, he added: "The saying of the Holy Prophet (pbuh) — 'Paradise lies beneath the feet of mothers' — found true manifestation in the life of the martyred Leader. Even in political and social life, the mother played an important role."
