The spiritual gathering was organized as part of the Fatimiyya Days, which are marked annually by Shia communities worldwide.

Ceremony Opens with Qur’anic Recitation

The event began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an, creating a serene and contemplative atmosphere. Organizers said the ceremony aimed to honor the legacy of Hazrat Zahra (PBUH) while strengthening unity among believers who follow the path of the Prophet’s pure Household.

Sheikh Muhammad Fal Highlights Centrality of Ahl al-Bayt (PBUT)

Delivering the keynote address, Sheikh Muhammad Fal underscored the indispensable role of the Ahl al-Bayt (PBUT) in guiding the Muslim Ummah. Describing them as “the stars of guidance,” he emphasized that true adherence to the Qur’an and Sunnah requires loyalty to the guardianship (wilayah) of the Prophet’s family and disassociation from falsehood, hypocrisy, and injustice.

He said distancing oneself from oppressors and enemies of the truth is not merely a historical lesson, but a foundational principle for preserving the spiritual integrity and collective strength of the Islamic community.

Reflection on the Oppression of Hazrat Zahra (PBUH)

Sheikh Fal also spoke about the historical injustices inflicted upon Hazrat Fatima Zahra (Peace be upon her) in the period following the Prophet’s passing. He described her patience, steadfastness, and unwavering defense of divine authority as timeless lessons for Muslims.

He highlighted the Fadak sermon—delivered by Hazrat Zahra (PBUH) in the Prophet’s Mosque—as one of the most profound demonstrations of her eloquence, intellect, and mastery of Islamic teachings. He called the sermon “a lasting manifesto of truth, justice, and the defense of guardianship,” noting that it continues to inspire Muslims across generations.

Ziyarat Recitation and Closing Prayers

In the final segment of the ceremony, attendees recited the Ziyarat of Hazrat Fatima Zahra (PBUH), filling the hall with supplications and expressions of devotion. Religious advice and moral reflections were also shared, reminding participants of the exemplary character, piety, and spiritual leadership of the Lady of Light.

The event concluded with collective prayers for unity among Muslims and for relief from the challenges facing the Islamic Ummah. Organizers described the commemoration as a reaffirmation of the deep-rooted love Mauritanian believers hold for the infallible and pure Household of the Prophet (PBUH).
