Hawzah News Agency- Shaykh al-Saduq narrated from his father, from Ali ibn al-Hussein al-Sa’ed Abady who narrated from Ahmad ibn Aba Abdullah al-Barqy, from Isma’il ibn Mihran, from Durost ibn Abi Mansoor, from Isa ibn Bashir, from Abi Hamzih al-Sumaly that Imam Baqir (pbuh) said:
لَمَّا حَضَرَتْ عَلِيَّ بْنَ الحُسَيْنِ (عَلَيْهِمَا السَّلَامُ) الْوَفَاةُ، ضَمَّنِي إِلَى صَدْرِهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ:
يَا بُنَيَّ، أُوصِيكَ بِمَا أَوْصَانِي بِهِ أَبِي (عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ) حِينَ حَضَرَتْهُ الْوَفَاةُ، وَبِمَا ذَكَرَ أَنَّ أَبَاهُ أَوْصَاهُ بِهِ:
يَا بُنَيَّ، إِيَّاكَ وَظُلْمَ مَنْ لَا يَجِدُ عَلَيْكَ نَاصِرًا إِلَّا اللَّهَ.When the time of death approached Ali ibn al-Ḥusayn (pbuh), he held me (Imam Baqir) close to his chest and said:
“My son, I advise you with what my father advised me at the time of his death, and what his father had advised him before that:
Beware of wronging anyone who has no defender against you except Allah.”
