Hawzah News Agency- Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, while expressing sorrow over the passing of this celebrated master of miniature, stated:
“The prominent and renowned artist Mahmoud Farshchian was a shining star in the sky of Iranian art. His commitment and piety made him a valuable gem in the service of religious education and devotion, and he left behind an everlasting legacy.”
The Leader prayed for divine mercy and satisfaction upon the departed artist and extended his condolences to Farshchian’s family, friends, students, and the country’s artistic community.
Mahmoud Farshchian, the distinguished painter and pioneer of contemporary Persian miniature, passed away on Sunday at the age of 95.
