Finals of Iran's International Quran Competition Scheduled for January 26

The 41st edition of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s International Holy Quran Competition will enter its final round later this month.

Hawzah News Agency- The Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization announced the dates of the final stage on Sunday, Iqna reported.

Like previous years, it will begin ahead of the Holy Prophet’s (PBUH) Mab’ath (call to prophethood), which falls on January 28 this year.

According to the announcement, the final round of the competition will take place in the northeastern holy city of Mashhad from January 26 to 31.

The Quds Hall of the Astan Quds Razavi will host the inauguration ceremony.

The competition will conclude in the awarding ceremony where top winners in different categories will be named and honored.

The International Holy Quran Competition of the Islamic Republic of Iran is annually organized by the country’s Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization.

It aims to promote the Quranic culture and values among Muslims and showcase the talents of Quran reciters and memorizers.

This year, the contenders are competing in the categories of Quran recitation, Tarteel and memorization of the Holy Quran in the men and women sections.
