Shias of Parachinar; victims of Takfiri terrorism, government apathy

A couple of Pakistani students are seeking to provide welfare and cultural services to the pilgrims, especially the oppressed Shiites of the Parachinar, on the Najaf to Karbala walking route by setting up a cultural stall focusing on the introduction of the martyrs of Parachinar.

Hawzah News Agency- on the occasion of Arbaeen pilgrimage, Muslims from different countries come to the magnificent ceremony of Arbaeen in Karbala and chant the call of Labbaik Ya Hussain, thereby preparing themselves for the reappearance of Hazrat Hujjat (peace be upon him). In the meantime, the Shiites of Parachinar, who live under the tyranny of fanatical Takfiris, have been facing terrorist attacks for attending religious ceremonies for years.

Referring to the pain and suffering of the Shiites of Parachinar region of Pakistan, Zareen Fatemeh Motahari, a Pakistani cultural activist and student, had an interview with the international correspondent of Hawzah News Agency during which she said,” Parachinar city is located in the northwest of Pakistan and is the heart of Shiism and a Little Karbala. More than 600,000 zealous Twelver Shiites live in this city.”

Referring to the recent events in the month of Muharram in this region, she added,” Almost in the first decade of Muharram, a dispute over a piece of land occurs between two Shiites and Takfiris, and after that, large-scale clashes between two groups of neighboring villages take place. The residents of Takfiri village attack the Shiites, during this incident 50 people were martyred and 200 people were injured. During the transportation of the wounded towards Peshawar and Islamabad, some people from the enemies of Parachinar attacked the ambulance of the wounded and these people were martyred.”

“Currently, on the occasion of Arbaeen pilgrimage, some citizens of Parachinar are going to the border of Iran from the cities of Baluchistan, Pakistan, with care and escort, and in the meantime, two motorbikes attack one of the caravans and buses carrying the pilgrims and unfortunately some people were injured, but thanks to the heroism and courage of the driver, two terrorist motorcycle riders are arrested.” She noted.

The cultural activist raised a question in this regard, saying,” the question we have from the government of Pakistan is why they do not react to these incidents and do not establish an airport for the 600,000 residents of Parachinar in this area to ensure the safety of the roads.”
