The Ambassador of Japan to the Islamic Republic of Iran called for the development of scientific and technological cooperation between Iranian and Japanese universities.

Hawzah News Agency- Tsukada Tamaki, the ambassador of Japan to Iran, during his trip to Qom and visited the University of Religions and Denominations and had a meeting with the founder of this university Hujjat al-Islam Seyyed Aboulhasan Nawab, during which they talked about the efforts of Japan and the embassy of this country on the development of scientific and technological relations. Hujjat al-Islam Nawab emphasized developing cooperation between Japanese and Iranian universities.

He appreciated his presence at the University of Religions and Denominations and considered this visit to promote scientific and technological cooperation between the universities of the two countries.

The ambassador of Japan to Iran also pointed to the plans of the Japanese embassy for joint cooperation with Iranian universities, adding that efforts have been made to improve the level of joint cooperation and communications among universities.

He pointed to the study of Iranian students and professors in Japanese universities and scientific institutions, saying, "Some Iranian students have graduated from Japanese universities and we are ready to cooperate in the field of exchange of students and professors to support academic cooperation.”

At the beginning of this meeting, Hujjat al-Islam Seyyed Abul Hassan Nawab, the founder and chairman of the Board of Trustees of the University of Religions and Denominations, in a speech while introducing the university, stated,” There are extensive scientific relations between the University of Religions and Denominations and prestigious universities in all parts of the world, and there are cultural similarities between Iran and the eastern countries which provide a good opportunity to expand the scientific and cultural cooperation between the universities.”

Announcing his readiness to expand scientific and research cooperation with Japanese universities, he emphasized that the University of Religions has a huge capacity in interfaith disciplines and fields of knowledge, stating that this university is ready to engage in academic activities with Japanese universities as well as topics of interest , such as the exchange of professors and students, joint cooperation; He also noted that the presence of the Japanese ambassador in this university and his accompanying team can pave the way for this task.

Hujjat al-Islam Nawab added,” No doubt, the mutual interest of the Embassy of Japan and the University of Religions and Denominations will pave the way to carry out joint activities and programs between the universities of these two countries.”
