Hawzah News Agency- Allameh Sheikh Ali Al-Khatib, Vice President of the Supreme Islamic Assembly of Lebanese Shiites, delivered a speech at the international conference "Al-Aqsa Storm and the Awakening of Human Conscience" while thanking the Islamic Republic of Iran for supporting the Palestinian cause and paying a heavy price in this way, he added,” The Islamic Republic of Iran has offered its best, including Martyr General Qassim Soleimani and many other, in the way of supporting the Palestine issue.”

He continued,” We are warning the enemies that the Islamic Revolution has penetrated into the heart of Zionist regime and with the support of the people of the region it was able to achieve a great victory and will soon eradicate the cancerous tumor of Israel from the face of the Earth.”

Allameh al-Khatib emphasized,” The resistance of Palestine and the nations of the region were able to unite the Islamic religions through the lives they sacrificed.”

Referring to the valuable initiative of Late Imam Khomeini (RA) in naming the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan as World Quds Day, this Lebanese scholar stated that the Islamic Republic of Iran has been able to keep the name of Quds alive and we should be grateful to the Islamic Republic of Iran for this matter.”

He added, "We must make suggestions in this conference and use historical lessons and support the Palestinian resistance in an operational way."

Al-Khatib further considered the reason for the inhumane crimes of the Zionists and the recent crisis in Palestine to be the lack of unity within Islamic Ummah and the spread of religious and political issues in the Islamic world and said,” We must turn the many commonalities that exist among the Islamic Ummah into unity, and religious issues and differences should not be an excuse to let enemies take advantage.”

He stated that the resistance in all the countries of the region, including Lebanon, Iraq and Yemen, plays its role, and emphasized that the Palestinian resistance will definitely achieve victory and that we should try and think for the stage after the liberation of Palestine and Gaza, so as not to cause sedition again.”

At the end, he stressed,” We must use this historical opportunity that has been created in Palestine, Gaza, and South Lebanon and inform the Islamic Ummah and all Muslim groups that we must reach Islamic unity and set aside the differences.”
