Hawzah News Agency- In a message, Ayatollah Alireza Arafi expressed his condolences on the death of the late member of the Assembly of Leadership Experts Ayatollah Akhtari.

The text of Ayatollah Arafi's condolence message is as follows:

"To God We Belong and To God We Return"

The death of the pious and educated cleric Ayatollah Haj Sheikh Abbas Ali Akhtari (RA), the late representative of Iran’s Assembly of Leadership Experts, caused regret and sorrow.

That eminent scholar, in addition to his brilliant endeavors during the revolution and the fight against the hated Pahlavi regime, always made sincere effort in various fields to advance the lofty goals of the revolution and the holy Islamic system and to serve the nation of Iran and the people of Tehran.

While respecting his years of sincere service, I offer my condolences to the family, friends and acquaintances for the loss of that pious scholar, and I pray for him, from God, to be elevated to his position and to be united with the divine characters, and for the survivors, I wish patience, abundant and lasting reward.
