Hawzah News Agency – The merciful prophet of Islam, peace be upon him and his household says:

إنَّما سُمِّيَت ابنَتي فاطِمَةُ لأنَّ اللَّهَ عزّوجلّ فَطَمَها وفَطَمَ مَن أحَبَّها مِنَ النَّارِ.

'My daughter was named Fatima because Allah, Mighty and Exalted, has weaned her and weaned those who love her from the Fire.'
