Hawzah News Agency - Hazrat Fatimah Zahra (SA) is one of the prominent and influential persons in the history of Islam whom reflecting on her character by delving into the verses and Hadiths can be very useful.
According to the documents of the Qur'an and Hadith, Hazrat Fatimah (SA) is a divine person. There are many verses in the honor of Hazrat Fatimah (SA); Some of which are mentioned in this text.
Among them, it is Tathir verse in which Allah says:
"Verily, Allah intends to remove from you the impurity [of sin], O' people of the [Prophet’s] household, and to purify you with [extensive] purification"(sura Al_Ahzab, verse33)
It has been narrated in some hadiths that this verse was revealed in the house of Ummah Salamah, the wife of the Prophet (P.B.U.H), and when it was revealed, Ali (A.S), Fatimah (SA), Hasan (A.S), and Hussayn (A.S) accompanied Prophet (P.B.U.H). At this moment, the Prophet (P.B.U.H) pulled the Khiybari cloth (Kesa) on which he was sitting, on himself, Ali (A.S), Fatima (SA), and Hassanain (A.S) and raised his hands to the sky and said: " O'Allah! My family is these four people."
The subject of this verse is related to a group that Hazrat Fatimah (SA) is one of the main members of the group. Some people believe that it has also been mentioned in the verse of Mubahilah that the blessing Hazrat Fatimah (SA) is also part of the group.
Allah says:"
Then whoever argues with you about it after [this] knowledge has come to you – say, “Come, let us call our sons and your sons, our women and your women, ourselves and yourselves, then supplicate earnestly [together] and invoke the curse of Allah upon the liars [among us].” (sura Al_, Emran verse 61)
If anyone disputes in this matter with thee, now after (full) knowledge Hath come to thee, say: “Come! let us gather together, - our sons and your sons, our women and your women, ourselves and yourselves: Then let us earnestly pray, and invoke the curse of Allah on those who lie!”
Shiite and Sunni commentators believe that this verse refers to the debate between the Christians of Najran and the Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H). They considered Jesus as the Son of Allah and did not accept the description of the Qur'an about Jesus (a.s) which considered him as a prophet and servant of Allah. Then, the Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H) suggested them to hold a debate because the conversations and reasons were not effective.
During the controversy, it was decided that the Prophet (P.B.U.H) would attend with his family whom Hazrat Zahra (SA), his noble daughter, was one of them.
Mawaddat verse is another verse that Hazrat Zahra (SA) is one of its examples.
Allah says:" Say , [O Muhammad], “I do not ask you for this message any payment [but] only good will through kinship.”(sura Ash_shora verse23)
Ibn Abbas says: "When this verse was revealed, I asked the Messenger of Allah, "Who these people whose love and affection have become obligatory are? "
The Messenger of Allah (P.B.U.H) said: "Ali (A.S), Fatimah (SA), Hassan (A.S) and Hussayn (A.S). (Tafsir Noor Uth_Thaqalayn, vol. 4, p. 572).
But the surah that was revealed in the honor of Hazrat Fatimah (SA) is the surah Kowsar. Kowsar is a matter of multiplicity and exaggeration in multiplicity, and its meaning is a great good that perpetuates the prophecy.
Allah has introduced the universe, with all its greatness, as a small commodity (worthless and cheap commodity), but when He speaks about Hazrat Fatimah (SA), He introduces her as a great good and says to the Prophet (P.B.U.H): "We have bestowed you the great good.
That is, Hazrat Fatimah (SA) is a great benefactor and she is not only a role model for all women but also men learn from the way of life of Fatimah (SA). Many Islamic scholars believe that Hazrat Fatimah (SA) and her children are one of the examples of Kowsar; Because the revelation of this surah is in response to those who considered the Prophet (P.B.U.H) without descendants.
The Qur'an bestowed Hazrat Fatimah (SA) on the Prophet (P.B.U.H) like Kowsar which is a great source of goodness and mercy (surely we have given you kowsar[sura Al_Kawsar, verse 1]) just as He made Kowsar pool as the healer for thirsty hearts of the people of the Resurrection.
He gave Fatimah (SA) a steadfast generation so that the chosen ones can drink the water of life and find their way to the shore of happiness and health by her existence and blessings.
