Hawzah News Agency (Najaf, Iraq) - senior cleric Grand Ayatollah Bashir al-Najafi received a group of African clerics in his office in the holy city of Najaf on Monday, April 24.

During the meeting, the Shia cleric advised African students on how to learn Islamic sciences in the best way. He said," Seminary students must engage in purifying their souls constantly so that they won't fall into committing sins and vice."

In a separate meeting, a group of Muslim missionaries along with former head of Parliament from Ivory Coast visited senior Shia cleric Grand Ayatollah Bashir al-Najafi.

During the meeting, the Shia source of emulation asserted, "Some world powers are plotting to create chaos in the world to undermine security, stability and peace among nations in order to dominate them."

"Scholars and academics must live up to their duty to promote the culture of peace and friendship among nations worldwide." Grand Ayatollah al-Najafi concluded.
