Hawzah News Agency (Najaf, Iraq) – In the sidelines of their visit to holy city of Najaf and the holy shrine of Imam Ali (as), a group of Iraqi Shia Muslims from the province of Al Diwaniyah met with Grand Ayatollah Bashir al-Najafi in his office on Wednesday, February 27.
During the meeting, Grand Ayatollah al-Najafi advised the Iraqi Muslims saying, "The believers must always strive to become better human beings and to purify their souls; as a matter of fact, pilgrimage to holy shrines serves as a means of reaching higher levels of morality and self-purification in one’s life."
He added, "In order to lift up the society, one must start doing so by improving themselves and observing moral issues in order to gain proximity to Allah almighty and piety in life."
In another meeting, Grand Ayatollah Bashir al-Najafi received a group of Pakistani youth from the city of Lahore.
During his visit with Muslims youth from Pakistan, Shia source of emulation Ayatollah al-Najafi remarked, "The beloved pilgrims must lift up their spirits and strength after their visit to holy shrines so that their personal and social life would move towards progress and prosperity."
