Hawzah News Agency (Najaf, Iraq) – Senior Iraqi cleric Grand Ayatollah Bashir al-Najafi received Sayyed Ammar al-Hakim, head of Iraqi National Coalition in his office in the holy city of Najaf on Sunday, February 11.

During the meeting, the Shia scholar Ayatollah al-Najafi urged Iraqi politicians to pay special attention to reconstructing the country in future and providing service to the people of Iraq after years of struggle, hunger and deprivation.

The Shia source of emulation added, "All sorts of corruption must be eliminated from the country.”

Head of Iraqi National Coalition Sayyed Ammar al-Hakim also presented a report on the latest political developments in the country.

Serving the holy shrines is a great honor

In a meeting with servants of Hazrat al-Abbas (as) holy shrine, Grand Ayatollah Bashir al-Najafi advised service members of holy shrines to provide great service to pilgrims.

He asserted, “We must promote Ahlulbayt’s (as) teachings through actions; this is the only way for our prosperity and success in this life and hereafter.”
