Hawzah News Agency (Najaf, Iraq) – In a meeting with mothers of Iraqi martyrs from the city of Youssoufia on Tuesday, January 23, senior cleric Grand Ayatollah Bashir al-Najafi remarked, “The city of Youssoufia has offered many martyrs during the war against ISIS terrorists whose lives and sacrifices resulted in the victory of Resistance forces. These martyrs were firm in their belief and their sacrifices led to a divine victory protecting genuine Islamic teachings and sanctities.”

He added, “Islam and Shia are a source of pride and dignity for the faithful; we must be thankful to Allah almighty for his blessings and pray for our perseverance in the path of Allah. We must pray to Allah almighty that our belief serve as a means of gaining his happiness and felicity in this life as well as hereafter.”

 Grand Ayatollah Bashir al-Najafi advised Iraqi women to raise their children according to Ahlulbayt’s (as) doctrine and teachings so that they would be able to fight all the corrupt thoughts that are plotting to deviate Muslim youth for their right path of religion.”

“Women need to idolize Lady Fatima (sa) as their role model in life and continue her path of righteous deeds.” Senior cleric concluded.
