Syrian Army recaptures two villages in Hama after fending off suicide bombing

The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) recaptured two villages on the Orontes River after largely repelling a Takfiri counter-offensive in the northern Hama countryside on Tuesday.

Hawzah News Agency - Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham (HTS) launched a shortlived attack in rural Hama yesterday, seizing over half Al-Massasnah village after a suicide bomber, nicknamed Alb Aruslan Alturkistani, from

Turkistan blasted SAA forward positions:

After regrouping overnight, assault troops led by the Tiger Forces fully retook all lost positions inside Al-Massasnah and completely restored the village under government control shortly after daybreak.

In addition, Syrian troops also liberated the nearby village of Zullaqiat, directly north of Halfaya, which has not been under SAA control for some time. Dozens of HTS and allied Takfiri militants were said to have

been killed in the process.

Now, the SAA is gearing up for a push towards Lataminah and Morek while Commander-in-chief Suheil Al-Hassan eventually hopes to reach Khan Sheikhun in southern Idlib.
