Hawzah News Agency- At the invitation of the Mufti of Uganda and the Chairman of the Supreme Council of Muslims, a delegation from the Office of the Supreme Leader, headed by Hujjat al-Islam Nawab, the Representative of the Supreme Leader for Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs, attended the ceremony to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the council, along with representatives of Islamic societies in African countries and political representatives from various countries.
The Iranian delegation first paid a visit to the office of the Deputy Mufti of Uganda and expressed their congratulations, and then held a meeting with scholars and heads of religious communities from various provinces of Uganda to exchange views on issues of the Islamic world and the need for Islamic unity.
In this meeting, Hujjat al-Islam Nawab highlighted the necessities of realizing the ideal of Muslim unity in the form of issues such as adhering to the Quran and Sunnah as the common principles of Muslims, respecting differences of views, promoting a culture of interfaith dialogue, benevolence for each other and not prioritizing individual interests, opposing division and being aware of the enemy's conspiracies.
At the end of this meeting, the president of Al-Mustafa Islamic College in Uganda, while introducing the college and its capacities, explained its scientific and educational capacity to attract the best talents of the Islamic community.
The celebration was held in the presence of the Vice President of Uganda, political and religious delegations from different countries, and the general public, with the opening recitation by Mr. Muhammad Kazemi, the Quran professor at Al-Mustafa International University.
The Mufti of Uganda and the Vice President were the main speakers of this part of the program.
It is worth noting that Al-Mustafa Islamic College introduced its scientific, cultural and Quranic activities by participating in the side exhibition of this ceremony.
