Hawzah News Agency- the text of Senior Shia scholar Grand Ayatollah Nasser Makarem Shirazi's message following the martyrdom of Friday Prayer Imam of Kazeroun is as follows:

To God we belong and to Him we return

The news of the crime and assassination attempt on the Friday Imam of Kazeroun city, the late Hujjat al-Islam Sheikh Mohammad Sabahi, caused great sorrow and grief.

The martyrdom of this popular, and noble cleric is a great loss for the honorable people of that region and his memory will remain in the hearts.

I extend my condolences to the Islamic Seminary of Fars Province and the faithful people of Kazeroun City, and especially to his respected family, for this tragic loss.
