Hawzah News Agency- Hujjat al-Islam Seyed Mufid Hosseini Kouhsari, Vice President of Communications and International Affairs of seminaries, in an interview with Hawzah News correspondent, stated,” A main focus of the activities of this vice-presidency is to play an active role in the international arena. During these years, we have issued dozens of messages and statements in the international arena on various occasions, we have issued hundreds of messages on various occasions, such as Eid al-Fitr, and Eid al-Adha for Muslim personalities, and also on the occasion of the beginning of the Christian year and Christmas, we send letters to religious figures worldwide. During these years, perhaps more than 700 contacts have been made by seminaries with Islamic and religious personalities and on various occasions to declare positions, so this is part of our ongoing efforts, whether issuing statements and messages or correspondences that are made on special occasions.
He also noted that the next axis of the activities of the International Vice President of the seminary is participation in international exhibitions, which we have either attended or designed our international fairs and sometimes participated in. God willing, soon we are going to design an international exhibition that will run until the end of the year. This international exhibition will display the capacities of seminaries that will be held in Iran. During these years, we have had a strong presence in international exhibitions, especially the International Quran Exhibition for several years, we have had an acceptable presence. The international section of Qur'an exhibition is managed by two or three institutions, and the seminary is one of the most effective and essential pillars of this section of the exhibition.
In another part of his interview, Hujjat al-Islam Kouhsari mentioned the interaction between Qom and Najaf seminaries, adding,” We have a special activity regarding the interaction between Qom and Najaf seminaries. In this part, we are communicating with Iranian students and scholars who are based in Najaf Seminary, also a number of our students and professors are studying in Najaf Seminary. Based on the agreements we have with the Najaf Seminary, we organize the courses and grades that are in Najaf for the students, and for those grades and courses that remain, we hold exams for the students to complete their files. This cooperation is one of the key scientific exchanges between two large and strategic seminaries of Shia in Qom and Najaf Ashraf.
Hujjat al-Islam Hosseini Kouhsari went on to say,” I believe in the possibility to have many influences in the international arena, especially in this confrontation of civilization that we have with the Western world and in the contemporary world and in this historical twist that exists today in global relations and equilibrium. Seminaries can radiate those Islamic teachings and pure Islam into the world and play a role in this new civilization.”
