Hawzah News Agency- Grand Ayatollah Javadi Amoli emphasized the significance of Arafah Day and supplication on this day, stating, "The blessed Day of Arafah and the Eid al-Adha is ahead of us. These occasions are among the 'Days of Allah'. Supplication is always answered, but on these special days, the Divine Essence of Allah has designated certain times and places for supplication. Fasting on the ninth of Dhu al-Hijja, Arafah Day, has great virtue. Still, because the supplication on that day is so blessed, it has been said that if fasting causes weakness that prevents one from properly communicating with God, one should not fast on that day.”

The Shia Source of Emulation noted, “The essence of that day is for supplication. One should be careful to spend the afternoon of the day in supplication."
