Hawzah News Agency- the closing ceremony of the 29th International Festival of Quran and Hadith in Tanzania was held in the international conference hall of Dar es Salaam city on Sunday, April 28.
In this magnificent ceremony in Tanzania, which was held on Sunday with the participation of 1,500 scientific and religious figures including Shia and Sunni scholars, students, the Jamaat of the Twelver Khojas, the ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the adviser of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Grand Mufti of Tanzania, Deputy Grand Mufti of Tanzania, Head of Tanzania Religions Center, Grand Sheikh of Shiites, Representative of Al-Mustafa University in Uganda, Representative of Al-Mustafa in Madagascar, Head of Bilal Muslim Mission Africa Center, Representative of the World Federation of Khojas as well as Friday Imams.
The preparations for the Quran and Hadith Festival in Tanzania were held last month with the presence of 900 participants from Quranic schools, schools of religious sciences and universities.
During the competitions, four Qur'anic gatherings and a scientific meeting were also held.
Also, in this competition, 157 people made it to the final stage and competed in 9 written and oral categories from 17 Shia and Sunni schools, and 42 people got the necessary points and received their awards on the closing day.
At the beginning of the meeting, Hujjat al-Islam Taqavi, the regional representative of Al-Mustafa International University in Tanzania, expressed the goals and importance of this festival, and at the end, presented a report of the events that took place in this festival.
In another part of his speech, Hojjat al-Islam Taqavi referred to the celebration of the 28th Holy Qur'an Festival saying,” Our ceremony today belongs to the only divine book in history, whose authenticity and accuracy from the time it was revealed to this day, has never been doubted. All Muslims and all scholars agree on it that not a single word has been added or subtracted from it. According to the Qur'an itself, the custodian of this Qur'an is the Almighty God.”
The main speaker and special guest of the closing ceremony, Sheikh Abu Bakr bin Zubair, the Grand Mufti of Tanzania, started his speech by thanking God Almighty and congratulating all those involved in organizing the 29th International Festival of Quran and Hadith.
He appreciated the invitation to this ceremony accompanied by the senior leaders of Bakuta, he also expressed his satisfaction with the holding of the Qur'an competition and considered the Qur'an as the way to eternally guide humanity, therefore he asked the Muslims to learn and recite the Qur'an very carefully.
