Hawzah News Agency- The Senior Official of the Al Abbas Holy Shrine; Sayed Ahmad al-Safi, called for preserving the facts and documenting the sacrifices of the Iraqi people, during his speech at the opening of the Ain Al-Hayat festival, held by the Al-Qabas Foundation for Culture and Development.

Sayed al-Safi said that we are the kind of people who sacrifice and do not document, and thus history is always stolen from us, and this is what makes me call on everyone not to fail to memorize and record the facts, so that future generations can learn about the events that the country went through, and how the people of truth responded to defeat falsehood.

His Eminence added, one of the facts that must be recorded is that Najaf was the one that confronted ISIS, as the road was blocked except for the fatwa, as it was the key to victory and the restoration of Iraqi cities and the defeat of terrorist gangs, at a time when some were saying that victory needs 30 years.

The Senior Official of the Al Abbas Holy Shrine continued, we are now in a post-ISIS phase, and the battle we are fighting is of another kind, represented by the importance of countering attempts to change convictions and concepts, disrupting community cohesion and the family structure that makes it up.

Sayed al-Safi stressed that intellectual simplicity is not desirable for a person, and he must understand things and check them, so that he is aware of the truth of things, and this is what takes him to the right path.
